So it wasn’t a bomb cyclone, but it was something else called a “clipper” that hit the region yesterday, bringing — GASP — about 1.5 inches of snow. CITY COUNCIL DRAMA: ORI FEIBUSH’S $250K CHANGED THE RACE, NOT THE RULES
Developer Ori Feibush has contributed $250,000-plus to his own campaign for the 2nd District Council seat. Then the city’s Board of Ethics announced campaign finance limits had doubled for the 2nd District Council race. Rather than receive a maximum of $2,900 from individuals or $11,500 from organizations, candidates for the 2nd District can receive maximum contributions of $5,800 and $23,000, respectively. It should surprise no one that Philly’s younger commuters are more likely to get to and from work by foot, bike or SEPTA. But here’s a little reminder. The Mayor’s Office of Transportation & Utilities put together this graphic that shows the median age of Philly commuters by mode of transportation choice. The numbers are from American Community Survey data, and also account for people who drive alone, carpool and work from home.
