Philadelphia had a coating of ice last night that made any driving nearly impossible, and it so conveniently made my entire body hurt after I slid down my stairs onto my sidewalk this morning. But never fear: Philadelphia’s TV newsmen and women are ON IT.

We at Billy Penn take great pride in our mode of television criticism: What’s more important than TV reporters’ outfits? Here’s what we saw this morning:

6ABC is on its uniform game this week, as pretty much all of its reporters out in the field were wearing similar attire featuring a badass 6ABC jacket. Here’s Annie McCormick this morning reporting from Roxborough:

Annnnnd basically her twin Wendy Saltzman. That baseball cap tho…

And their triplet Kenneth Moton spent the morning in Pennsauken, N.J. Because THREE PEOPLE need to tell us ice has built up while wearing stellar matching blue jackets. You people are local heroes.

Cut over to NBC10 to find Matt DeLucia wearing a similar light jacket. Didn’t these people get cold? Hope those are insulated well (says this reporter who is currently sitting indoors).

He spent his morning in Manayunk waving around an ice scraper and showing us that ice, when put on top of more ice, is icy and slides down the sidewalk. Thank you, Matt.

CBS Philly spent most of the morning with Katie Fehlinger who, duh, looked fashionable as always.

Buuuuut CBS Philly made this poor soul stand outside to talk about how Gov. Tom Wolf demoted SRC Chair Bill Green. Someone get Justin Finch a hat. He looks so sad.

But by far, our winner today comes from Fox 29. We can’t really talk about Jennifer Joyce’s weather wear other than the cool red turtleneck, because she came to you live this morning… from a car. And it’s not even the first time that’s happened.

At least spring is right around the corner.
