Glassdoor is a little like Yelp. It can sometimes become a place where people unsatisfied with their jobs go to vent. But it’s also become a place people rely on when they’re job-searching, to find out if maybe the hiring manager (or worse: recruiter) was embellishing that great benefits package or if the salary wasn’t just what they thought it would be.
So we looked through Glassdoor to find the skinny on some of Philadelphia’s most well-known companies (and others that employ the most people here). The database holds 8 million company and job reviews; for starters, here’s a look at each company, and the percentage of people who said they would recommend the job to a friend.
