Cop coopering wisdom with the help of whiskey

Coopering is the art of barrel making, which sounds boring until you realize it's essential for making whiskey and wine. Wood artist Keunho Peter Park will talk cooperage technique and how he incorporates it into his work, while locally made Dad's Hat Rye is served to complement the topic. There's also a raffle for a $150 woodworking prize. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit art center in Old City.

Where: The Center for Art in Wood at 141 N. 3rd St. 19106

When: May 11, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

How much: $15
