Zen vibes abound when you watch Tibetan monks play with sand

A cohort of monks from Tibet's Drepung Gomang monastery will be in residence at the eclectic East Falls furniture store/event space, creating a series of colorful sand mandalas. They'll be working 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Wednesday through Sunday, and watching them work — which is also a chance to absorb some of their zen — is entirely free.
