Skydivers and scavenger hunts to celebrate the American flag

The Stripes and Stars Festival, aka the celebration of the joint birthday of the US flag and the US Army, is a big deal in Philadelphia. The Historic District will be buzzing all day with a slew of events, from a raising of the original 13-star flag at the Betsy Ross house to a skydiving show on Independence Mall. There's also a chance to explore the historic Christ Church burial ground with special scavenger hunts.

When: June 14, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

How much: Some events are free, some are $1 to $5
