Blues, beer and BBQ to help keep West Passyunk green

The first annual Newbold Blues Festival has all the makings of a great party. Beer from five hyperlocal breweries (all owned by folks in the neighborhood), drinks from a local distillery, snacks from five nearby restaurants (brisket, tacos and Indian bites) and five local bands playing tunes. Even better, proceeds from the day all go to a good cause — helping fund the neighborhood greening project, which is staffed by persons with disabilities.

Where: Outside Second District Brewing at the corner of Bancroft & McKean, 19145

When: June 17, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

How much: Pay as you go (advance beer tix packages available)
