Eight years ago, Doug Hager had a realization: Philadelphia, with all its German heritage, was lacking a true Bavarian tavern (Ludwig's, where he worked, had closed a few years prior). So he created one, with beers from overseas no one else in the country served and housemade brats and wursts from chef Jeremy Nolen. Celebrate the spot's eighth anniversary with live music, $4 beer, wine and cider and an all-you-can-eat buffet.
