Soak up island culture at the Philly Caribbean Festival

It's the 31st year for this annual fest of all things Caribbean. Representatives of 14 islands will put on a show of music (reggae, hip-hop, gospel, steel band), poetry, skits and dance, while vendors offer souvenirs, clothing and arts and crafts. There's also a kids' corner with maypole dancing.

Where: Great Plaza at Penn's Landing at 200 S. Columbus Blvd.

When: August 20, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
