Decorate a traditional German back-to-school candy cone

First documented in 1810, the schultüte (“school cone”) is a paper cone filled with candies, toys and supplies and presented to a child on their first day of school in Germany. Kids and adults are all invited to decorate one of their own and fill it with a half-pound of old-fashioned penny candy, included in the price. Event takes place 2 to 4 p.m. each day of the holiday weekend.
