Chow down on Puerto Rican cuisine to help recovery

Chef Carlos Silva is cooking up some Puerto Rican specials to add to the already varied (and surprisingly good) menu at this tavern inside a columned building in Old City. All proceeds from Sunday's dinner seating will be donated to Fondo Unidos de Puerto Rico to aid in cleanup and recovery from Hurricane Maria. Reservations are available if you want to be assured a seat, or just walk in.

Where: National Mechanics at 22 S. 3rd St. 19106

When: November 5, 2017 from 3:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

How much: Pay as you go
