February Philly Quizzo at Pistolas
Danya Henninger / Billy PennBilly Penn’s monthly Philly Quizzo night is always competitive, but in the later rounds this edition got even more tense.
As we sipped margaritas and snacked on nachos at Pistolas Del Sur on East Passyunk, one of the top-scoring teams was sure another team in the back was cheating — aka looking up answers on Google. They assured us they were not, so we continued the game.
After three rounds of questions featuring sports mascots, development projects, transit history, bar and restaurant details and much more, everyone had fun.
In the end, everyone had fun, and the two teams above split the top prizes: a $50 and a $25 Pistolas gift card for first and second place.
There was also a t-shirt giveaway for best team name: “Gritty should have punched that kid…and his dad, too.”
Now it’s your turn. Without using Google, can you beat the high score of 21/24?
Pick your the answers in the “Past,” “Present” and “Future” sections below, then click “Submit” and scroll up to “View Score” to see how you did.
