Philly Quizzo: Join Billy Penn for a night of local trivia

Think you know this city well? Test your knowledge at Billy Penn's Philly Quizzo at the PHS uCity Square Pop Up. This is the final week for the garden, so there will be lots of awesome food and drink specials as they close out the season. All trivia questions will be related to Philadelphia:

  • Round 1: Past — our beloved city's history

  • Round 3: Future — things we have to look forward to
  • Round 4: Music — name that Philly tune

Listen to a choral performance of ‘American DREAMers’

The varied voices that make up PhilHarmonia, a community choir, will come together in a performance of local artist Melissa Dunphy's "American DREAMers," a work composed to the poetry and prose of young immigrants around the U.S.

Healthy cooking demo: Learn how to make veggies delicious

What the heck does one do with kohlrabi? How do you make the best-tasting broccoli ever? Chef Khoran Horn of Stripp'd Juice and BLVCK has the answers, so we're bringing him in for an intimate cooking class. He'll share tips, show hands-on tricks, offer snacks and leave you with recipes to cook at home.

This year’s N2N Festival in West Philly is a free Aretha Franklin tribute concert

This year, the 23rd annual N2N Festival is presenting a Tribute to the Queen of Soul, with several headliners throughout the day, beginning at 1 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. The headliners are national recording artists - Kathy Sledge, Jean Carne, Kelly Price, Kindred the Family Soul, Keke Wyatt, and Monica. N2N will also have performances by local artists as well as specials guests such as Wendell Holland, II, Skeet and Patty Jackson. Also, the Festival will also provide free health and wellness resources, food and merchandise vendors, community resource tents for families and senior citizens and a kid's zone.

Morning Glory pop-up beer garden for a cause

This cheery Bella Vista diner is opening its outdoor patio for a special one-night party with brews from PBC, champagne and punch plus snacks to benefit Refuse Fascism. Proceeds will go toward a "Handmaids Brigade" at the big protest planned when VP Pence is in town July 23.

World Cup finals viewing block party on South Street
