Reporter / Curator
Mark Dent is a reporter/curator at BillyPenn. He previously worked for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, where he covered the Jerry Sandusky scandal, Penn State football and the Penn State administration. His work included breaking news stories and in-depth pieces on the university and football team as they recovered from the effects of the scandal.
Prior to the Post-Gazette, Mark worked as a sports reporter for The Dallas Morning News, covering Texas’ state religion: high school football. He’s also had internships with The Indianapolis Star, MLB.com, The Kansas City Star and The Bucks County Courier Times.
Mark grew up on the Kansas side of the Kansas City area and graduated from the University of Kansas. He currently lives in Center City. He also listens to more top-40 pop music than any reasonable human should.
