FORMER SRC HEAD WANTS HIS JOB BACK
Former SRC chair Bill Green, the man who sent a thousand teachers protesting in 2014 when he canceled the benefits stipulated in their contracts, is suing to get his chairmanship back. Governor Tom Wolf removed him as chair early in his tenure last year for what Green — still an SRC member — claims are his pro-charter and anti-union views. Green says someone in his position can only be removed for wrongdoing or malfeasance. This isn’t the first lawsuit targeted against Wolf by another public official. His first month in office, the state’s open records chief, Erik Arneson, sued him for wrongful termination. The lower courts ruled in Arneson’s favor. “Wolf has a pattern of overstepping his authority,” Green’s attorney said.

The Chestnut Hill native got her big break doing makeup for Brandy during a Philly tour stop. She’s worked with other celebrities since, but is now setting her sites on her own makeup line. Here’s our Q&A with BeatFaceHoney, aka, Tatiana Ward.
