A Pennsylvania state senator quietly introduced a bill last week that would partially defund Planned Parenthood. State Sen. John Eichelberger (R-Blair) introduced Senate Bill 300, a measure some pro-choice advocates say directly targets funding earmarked for family planning services at Planned Parenthood. The nearly year and a half wait for Bill Cosby to face trial in the alleged sexual assault of Andrea Constand should finally be coming to an end. Judge Steven T. O'Neill said yesterday he wanted both sides to file any further motions they had on the case within the next 15 days. The trial is scheduled to begin June 5. Former Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham and Richard Sprague, a well-known Philadelphia defense attorney, sued current Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Monday asking a judge to essentially force him out of office.
