PENN’S SUICIDE PROBLEM: TASK FORCE REPORT UNDERWHELMS, ANGERS STUDENTS
Penn has a deadly problem. Philadelphia’s Ivy has seen a total of six students commit suicide since August 2013. The suicide rate for college students in general is 6.5 to 7.5 suicides per 100,000 students, according to the Suicide Prevention Resource Center. That puts the suicide rate at Penn, which has seen about 21,000 students in the last year-and-half, about five times higher than the national average. In response, the school dispatched a time-honored bureaucratic tool: The task force. After a year, the task force produced eight pages of recommendations — and the most tangible takeaways are a website and a flier for faculty.
CALL RICK SCOTT. TELL HIM WE’RE TAKING MICKEY.
Hide yo kids, hide yo wife and hide yo job, because Florida Gov. Rick Scott is tryna take errybody to the Sunshine State. Scott, Florida’s controversial Republican governor, is planning to visit Philadelphia next week to tell Pennsylvanians to move their businesses to Florida for better tax rates. We’ll have to wait until budget day on March 3 to find out if new PA Gov. Tom Wolf really will increase taxes for businesses, but until then, the Harrisburg Patriot-News wants you to call Gov. Rick Scott’s office at 850-488-7146. Tell him that for every PA job he steals, we’re taking a Disney character. Have fun at Disney World when all that’s left are three of the seven dwarves. Ha. Ha.

#WHYILOVEPHILLY: WE HAVE THE MICHELANGELO OF BUTT INJECTIONS
In case you’d forgotten, Padge Victoria Windslowe was arrested and charged in 2011 for the death of a woman Windslowe had injected with silicone. Now Windslowe, who has no medical degree or license, is on trial. Known as the “Black Madam” from her gothic hip-hop performer days, Windslowe gave herself another nickname in her a pre-trial hearing — the “Michelangelo of butt injections.” Windslowe also faces charges for injections that sent another woman to the hospital vomiting blood. But hey, as she told the judge, “my work spoke for itself.”
