The Eagles are 8-1 and are, without question, the best team in football. Sunday they didn't just beat the Denver Broncos — the team with the best defense in football — the Birds dropped "a 50 burger" on them. And they did it without Zach Ertz, the team's leading receiver and Carson Wentz's security blanket at tight end. No Ertz? No problem. Here's a look at some of the top plays and crazy stats from Sunday.
The pitch, the videos, the bus wraps — everything Philly is doing in an effort to become the next Amazon HQ city — ain't cheap. So far the city has spent $245,000 to woo Jeff Bezos. A Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation spokeswoman said the agency is "confident this was money well spent on a project that speaks of Philadelphia’s worth not just to Amazon but to all businesses looking to relocate or grow here.” Check out the cost breakdown, and how that compares to other bidders.
The city announced Friday it plans to move the Frank Rizzo statue away from Thomas Paine Plaza. The very public home of the very divisive former mayor has been the subject of tension for months. Traditionally, "Pennsylvania Tuxedo" is the name for the head-to-toe red woolen plaid worn to keep warm while hunting in the forests of Central Pa. Now, it's also the name of a beer by Dogfish Head. The connection? The new brew is made with spruce tips harvested by hand from trees in those very forests -- in partnership with the clothing company that made those outfits. Good news: the result is delicious.
