TURKISH PRESIDENT: POCONOS RESIDENT INCITED COUP ATTEMPT
“Turkey will not be run from a house in Pennsylvania,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday in an interview with CNN Turk. Erdogan placed blame for yesterday’s military coup attempt on Poconos resident Fethullah Gülen, a former imam who leads a movement calling for moderate and tolerant Sunni Islam from his Saylorsburg home. Through a spokesperson, Gülen’s group denied involvement.

In December, Philadelphia Youth Basketball’s announced a plan to revitalize the Logan Triangle, turning it into a $25-million basketball and education center in the hopes of breaking ground within two years. This summer’s fundraising goal is far more modest — a fundraising drive to raise $76,000 for their collegiate summer camp series. And city leaders are all about it.
WHY BOATHOUSE ROW IS DARK — BUT NOT FOR LONG
The lights on Boathouse Row have been dark lately, but that’s coming to an end just in the knick of time as the nation’s eyes to turn to Philadelphia. The lights are expected to be fully replaced by July 24 — the first day of the Democratic National Convention. And teams are working around the clock to make it happen.
