SO MUCH FOR CHEAP GAS IN JERSEY?
New Jersey’s gas tax could more than double from 14.5 cents to 37.5 cents per gallon, a bid to boost the fund that pays for fixing roads and bridges. The deal between the state Assembly and Gov. Chris Christie would also cut the sales tax from 7 percent to 6 percent, but it still needs to pass the state Senate. And it passed just hours ago — literally at 1 AM, per the Inquirer.

WHAT IT WAS LIKE ON PHILLY’S FIRST SEERSUCKER RIDE
Philadelphia’s first-ever Seersucker Bike Ride and Social brought out roughly 30 participants to ride while dressed to the nines. Many vintage fans described it as the summertime spin on the autumnal Tweed Ride. The premise for both events is pretty much the same— gather a group under the throwback theme and have an easygoing ride around the city and a picnic. The Tweed Ride has an afterparty at a bar. The Seersucker Ride? A picnic. And a nattily-attired one, at that.
Bring your own pet to the outdoor seating at the wine-cheese-beer cafe and sip dog themed-wines while meeting pups up for adoption. $1 from every drink goes to the PSPCA.

Second, players may actually want to come play for the Sixers now. But there’s a glut of big men on the roster. So here’s what could be happening for Colangelo and co.
