INDEGO CO-CREATOR GETS NUTTER/RENDELL ENDORSEMENTS FOR COUNCIL
Andrew Stober, the man who helped bring Philadelphia its popular bike share program and is now trying to beat Republican council candidates as an independent, just received a major boost. Former Mayor and Governor Ed Rendell and Mayor Michael Nutter endorsed him. Rendell told the Inquirer, “he’s young and he’s energetic and he’s not tied to the politics of the past.” The endorsement could cost Nutter, though. As a Democratic ward leader, he’s only supposed to endorse fellow Dems. It’s possible he could lose his ward leader position.
