RIP GEORGE BENGAL, PSPCA HUMANE LAW ENFORCEMENT DIRECTOR
Animal lovers around the region are mourning George Bengal, who died Saturday at the age of 69 after a battle with cancer. A former Philly policeman, he dedicated his life to fighting animal cruelty, setting up humane law enforcement programs at many organizations, including the PSPCA, which he officially joined in 2007. #ThankYouGeorge.

Patience Carter, the Fox29 intern who survived the Pulse nightclub shooting, now has her own Snopes page. A YouTube video purporting the entire incident was staged and that she’s a “crisis actor” garnered attention, but Carter’s own video account is enough to debunk it. From a poem she wrote: “The guilt of feeling lucky to be alive is heavy.”
