A SEPTA BUS GOT STUCK IN A RITTENHOUSE STREET LAST NIGHT
Around 11 p.m. Saturday, a SEPTA bus going up Walnut got stuck when its rear wheel apparently sunk into the pavement, halting its progress just west of 20th in front of Vernick Food & Drink. Officials told 6ABC that “the road collapsed under the weight of the bus” (an average city bus weighs 30,000 to 40,000 pounds when loaded). It eventually was extracted and on its way, and there were no injuries.
