In addition to the FBI probe made public with a series of raids last Friday, union boss John Dougherty is also dealing with an investigation on the state level. Unlike the Feds, who are looking into campaign donations, the “aggressive grand jury inquiry by the state Attorney General’s Office” is researching a pattern of intimidation, according to the Inquirer. It started after Doc was caught on video in a fight at a South Philly construction site last February.

On Monday, for the first time since Prohibition, it will be legal for grocery stores and hotels and restaurants with applicable licenses to sell wine. Well, Monday is when they can apply to do it.
