WHEN DOES BEYONCE PLAY? MADE IN AMERICA SCHEDULE RELEASED
Here’s how to plan your day at Jay Z’s giant Made in America festival this weekend (assuming you scored tickets): Yesterday, the schedule and stages were released for the giant outdoor concert over Labor Day weekend. Inquirer music critic Dan DeLuca has the rundown posted here; it’ll take some work to (let’s say) see Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse and Beyonce on Saturday night. You just need to be prepared to walk and wait, is all.
MONTHS AFTER AMTRAK 188 CRASHED, WHY ISN’T THE ENGINEER CHARGED?
Brandon Bostian operated the Amtrak 188 train that was speeding around a curve in Frankford at 106 mph, more than 50 mph above the speed limit, when it crashed. Eight people died, and dozens were injured. But how much responsibility does Bostian bear for the May accident? A little more than three months later that’s a question federal and local investigators are trying to answer but probably won’t for at least several more months. And it’s a question about whether Amtrak did enough to safeguard the train or put Bostian in a precarious position.

JOE PATERNO AND JERRY SANDUSKY: THE SUBTEXT OF PA’S LAWYER WAR
If it had not been for the Jerry Sandusky case, it’s likely a nasty war between indicted Attorney General Kathleen Kane and former Sandusky prosecutor Frank Fina wouldn’t have played out the way it did. If it had not been for the Sandusky case, there’s a chance constituents would never have known that lawyers and judges liked passing around porn. Kane wouldn’t have leaked information to the Daily News in a bid to make Fina look bad. And if she didn’t do that, she wouldn’t be facing criminal charges for lying about it. Here’s why the war between Pennsylvania’s top lawyers all traces back to Penn State and the battle over Joe Paterno’s legacy.
WE ASKED A PSYCHIC IF TIM TEBOW WOULD STAY AN EAGLE
The Philadelphia Eagles will make their next round of cuts Tuesday. The roster will go down to 75 players from 90 and a few days later, the roster will be trimmed further, to the regular season size of 53. So will Tim Tebow make the team? We asked an expert — not a journalist, or a former NFL player, coach or scout. We asked Lena, the Rittenhouse Psychic. Here’s what she said.
