Dining Out for Sheila: Fundraiser for injured bartender seeks restaurant partners
Dirty Franks block party for injured bartender
The big "Sheila our SunShine Fundraiser" for Sheila Modglin, the bartender and community arts leader nearly killed by a motorist in February, will have food trucks, live bands, an art show, kids activities and lots more. The street will be closed to traffic for all-day outdoor fun. After 6 p.m., the shindig moves indoors. Oscar-watching party begins at 8 p.m.

When: March 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. to March 5, 2018 at 2:00 a.m.

Home for Hope fundraiser at Dirty Franks
The first and only homeless shelter in Pennsylvania specifically for LGBTQ folks gets no public funding, and with a monthly operating cost of $9k, they need help. Lend a hand the easiest way there is — by having a drink with a bunch of friends. PECO will even match proceeds from the day, up to $5k.

20th anniversary Dirty Franks chili cook-off
A live band will set the mood at this annual spring party. Amateur chili-makers will battle with pros from spots like Pub & Kitchen and Mixto.

Dirty Franks mural rededication paty
Two new Franks were added this year to the mural that wraps around the 13th and Pine dive bar: Pope Francis and poet laureate Frank Sherlock. Mural Arts is hosting a rededication ceremony with reading from Sherlock, live music and light refreshments.
