District Attorney Seth Williams was charged March 21 with bribery, extortion and wire fraud after federal investigators alleged Williams was involved in at least three illegal schemes that benefited his own financial interests. On June 29, he pleaded guilty to a single count of accepting a bribe as part of a plea bargain that could put him behind bars for up to five years.
