A number of leaders the target of state corruption investigation

Last Updated

So far, one Philadelphia leader has been charged in a large corruption sting operation launched against a number of Philadelphia legislative and judicial leaders by Attorney General Kathleen Kane. Former traffic court judge Thomasine Tynes was arrested on bribery charges after DA Seth Williams said he accepted a $2,000 Tiffany bracelet from an undercover informant. Four other state legislators are apparently under investigation for accepting financial gifts without disclosing them, but haven’t been formally charged.
