The Sixers have six players who are 6-10 or taller, and a number of other guys on the roster who are bigger players with limited range. They are too big, but they’re also too hurt. With Joel Embiid just coming back from two years off the court, the future is bright for Philly basketball. It’s just…big.
Nerlens Noel, Jahlil Okafor, Ben Simmons and Dario Saric are all, with Embiid, 6-10 or taller. When everyone is healthy, and even until they are, how will head coach Brett Brown manage all the minutes? Will Simmons or Saric have to play small forward? Will there ever be a time when Embiid, Noel and Okafor are all on the floor at the same time? And when will one of the players eventually get traded?
This season will be fascinating to follow, and important to track. We’ll be doing both.
