The fire that destroyed South Street icon Bridget Foy's two weeks ago left the restaurant's staffers out of work, and also killed two rescue dogs nearby. To help the out-of-work Philadelphians and raise funds for Saved Me and Red Paws animal rescues, 30 different restaurants — including some of the city's most renowned, like Zahav and Amada — are joining to host a benefit dinner on Headhouse Square. Organized by The Twisted Tail owner George O'Reilly in conjunction with the South Street Headhouse Business District and the Queen Village Neighborhood Association, the event will feature tastes of food from all the participants, plus beer and wine and live music. "It will be a night of sorrow, but also of celebration and camaraderie," O'Reilly said.
