Bill Cosby’s Hollywood star gets vandalized with ‘Rapist’

The word “rapist” has been scrawled all over Bill Cosby’s ceremonial star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. His star is located at the center of Hollywood — just across the street from the Dolby Theatre, site of the Oscar’s every year.
Despite all the crazy people who visit Los Angeles and the celebrities featured on the Walk of Fame who are less than beloved, this is not a regular occurrence. So says Ana Martinez, who works for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which manages the Walk.
In a phone interview with Billy Penn, Martinez said vandalism is rare and most vandalism consists of people writing their own names on blank stars.
She said the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce was in the process of cleaning up Cosby’s star already and noted that if they catch the vandal or vandals, trouble could be coming.
“It is a state landmark,” Martinez notes, “so if they were to get caught they would get arrested.”
