Habitat for Humanity is opening a store in Point Breeze

Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore is coming to Point Breeze, according to the charity, and it will sell used household goods, like appliances, furniture, building supplies and more.

ReStore will be located at 2318 Washington Avenue. Previously, Habitat had a ReStore in Kensington but closed it down to open this one. Individuals, companies and contractors can all donate to ReStore, which also offers free pickup five days a week. All proceeds from the sales go to Habitat for Humanity.

The store opens on Friday, with a kickoff event starting at 10, featuring music and prizes.

The store’s regular hours for the summer will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
