Update: Gizmodo reports this “surveillance video” was a prank by the vloggers who were the last to see hitchBOT alive and is not real.

Just in: This video, posted by vlogger Jessie Wellens, purports to show the decapitation of hitchBOT. The footage appears to come from a security camera.
