Five months after it was supposed to be completed, Pennsylvania’s budget looks like it might finally be completed by the end of this month. The battle might come to an end. The same can’t be said for the porny email scandal, which this week saw a demonstration outside of the D.A.’s office and a lawsuit filed against Kathleen Kane by former prosecutors, including those who were demonstrated against.

Pennsylvania politicians say a budget will be done by Thanksgiving and even agreed to a framework of a deal. As part of that deal, the Republicans want to be sure Pennsylvanians won’t have to pay sales tax on horses. Earlier this year, Wolf wanted to lift that exemption.

On Thursday, Drexel became the first Philadelphia university to revoke a Bill Cosby honorary degree. That leaves six area schools who have presented Cosby with honorary degrees who have yet to take them back.

Sixers owner Josh Harris ruined a kids’ soccer game in Newark this week. A helicopter that was supposed to pick him up landed in the middle of the field before the game’s scheduled. Harris didn’t show up in time, the helicopter remained on the field and the game had to be canceled.
