Kevin Negandhi really loves Temple, so much that the SportsCenter anchor wanted to travel to Annapolis last Saturday to watch his alma mater win their first college football conference championship. When he wasn’t able to make the trip to see his team, the team decided to make the trip to see him.

“The show crew lead by coordinating producer Heath Henry got me good,” Negandhi said in a quote provided by ESPN. “A complete surprise. I had some regrets that we couldn’t make it down to Annapolis to see the fellas, enjoy the game and celebration on Saturday. For the Temple team and players to bring the AAC Championship trophy to Connecticut and surprise me on SportsCenter was a moment I will never forget. Another example of the type of family I have at my alma mater and at ESPN.”
Neghandi has another chance to see his Owls in Annapolis in a few weeks, when the Matt Rhule-less Owls face Wake Forest on December 27 in the Military Bowl. There may even be another trophy, too.
