Marissa Taffer is Billy Penn‘s new manager of sales and events.

She was most recently a global sales support manager at Aramark, where she launched quarterly town hall webcasts and worked to support the global sales team. Also of note: She led Aramark’s Young Professionals Philadelphia Hub.

Prior to her time there, Marissa worked as a sales coordinator at the Philadelphia Conventions and Visitors Bureau. There, she worked with directors of national accounts, entering leads, working with hotels to build citywide blocks, writing proposals, and handling site inspection logistics.

“We love Marissa’s knowledge of the Philly market, her passion for what Billy Penn is doing and the impressive results she’s produced in her career,” said Jim Brady, CEO of Billy Penn‘s parent company, Spirited Media. “We’re excited to have her, starting today, sitting with Kellie and the rest of the team to continue charting our path forward.”

“I am very excited to add Marissa to the Billy Penn team,” said Kellie Panter, Billy Penn‘s VP of sales and events. “Marissa will help elevate our popular events in 2017 with her deep events knowledge and energy!”

“I am thrilled to join the Billy Penn team and help create new and exciting experiences around current events and the fantastic neighborhoods of Philadelphia,” Marissa said. “I want to create meaningful partnerships with both the large and small businesses that have made the city their home.”

Marissa is a 2007 graduate of Drexel University. She lives in Queen Village; today is her first day at Billy Penn.
