From Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse

Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse will host its annual Healthy Halloween celebration on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to noon to promote healthy living for youth. Families are welcome to come in costume and enjoy live music, nature exploration, a Thriller dance party, zumba, healthy treats and more in the 6.5-acre playground and 16,000 sq. ft. playhouse.

Smith is joined by Goldfish Swim School, Let’s Go Outdoors, National Audubon Society, Noggin Hill, Read by 4th, School of Dance Arts, Soccer Shots, Walnut Street Theatre and Zumba instructor Mary Borisuk to provide the morning’s festivities. Healthy treats, giveaways, and decorations generously provided by Beech-Nut, Happy Family, Vetri Community Partnership, and Primex Garden Center.

Smith’s Executive Director Meg Wise noted, “we are happy to continue to expand our community partnerships and offer families another great Fall celebration that encourages staying active, healthy eating, youth arts, and of course—play!”

This event is free for Smith members and $10 per child for non-members (admission for accompanying adults is free). Tickets and family memberships can be purchased online.
