The right music makes everything better, especially during the holidays. Member-supported, non-commercial WXPN presents these special holiday music programs to make your holidays more joyful!

Monday, Nov. 20-Sunday, Dec. 31: Jingle Jams on XPN2
Host Robert Drake curates this genre-spanning, non-stop stream featuring the season’s finest holiday songs from throughout the decades.

Thursday, Nov. 23: Sleepy Hollow Thanksgiving (6 am to Noon)
Sleepy Hollow host Chuck Elliott plays warm, relaxing songs that provide the tasty accompaniment to your feasting and festivities. At Noon, host Helen Leicht presents WXPN’s annual broadcast of the classic Thanksgiving song “Alice’s Restaurant” by Arlo Guthrie.

Tuesday, Dec. 19: 9th Annual XPN Local Home for the Holidays Show (8 pm to 10 pm)
This year, host Helen Leicht’s annual gathering of local talent celebrating the sounds of the season features WXPN Musicians On Call volunteer musicians David Falcone, Lisa Bouchelle, Andrea Nardello, Skip Denenberg, Aaron Parnell Brown, and Ross Bellenoit performing traditional holiday songs (recorded at Morningstar Studios).

Sunday, Dec. 24: The Night Before on XPN – 25th Anniversary! 25 hours long!
Host Robert Drake performs his annual Christmas miracle by playing his eclectic mix of holiday songs non-stop for 24 hours, leading right up to Christmas. And because it’s his 25th year – he’ll add an hour! Follow along on Facebook, peek into the festively-festooned studio using the Jingle Cam, and join many others who can’t make it to Christmas Day without Robert and The Night Before on XPN.

Monday, Dec. 25: Merry Fringemas (1 am to 4 am)
Hosts Robert Drake and Eric Schuman produce a three-hour trip of holiday musical oddities: songs, snippets and stories from the The Night Before cutting room floor

Echoes Winter Holiday Show (4 am to 6 am)
Host John Diliberto’s special holiday soundscape for the chillout hours

Sleepy Hollow Christmas (6 am to Noon)
Host Chuck Elliot’s annual selection of mellow holiday music

Tuesday, Dec. 26 – Friday, Dec. 29: The Best of World Cafe
Interviews & Performances from 2017 (2 pm to 4 pm)

Saturday, Dec. 30: In Memoriam
A Tribute to the Musicians We Lost in 2017 (2 pm to 5 pm)

Sunday, Dec. 31: Top 50 Songs of the Year Countdown (Noon to 7 pm)

The 15th (or 16th) Rockin’ New Year’s Eve (7 pm to Midnight)
Host Bruce Warren again ushers in the new year, XPN-style. Whether it’s for a mega bash or a party for one, Bruce brings on the musical spirit of the new year.
