The Instagram of the Day is one of Billy Penn’s most talked about features — and now we’re taking it to the next level.
At the beginning of May, we asked readers to start submitting potential pics by using the hashtag #BillyPennGram. The response has been great, with folks tagging all kinds of interesting imagery that shows of the character, heart and soul of Philadelphia.
We thought it would be fun to see which ones are most popular, so we’re launching a weekly poll.
Winners will be showcased on our Instagram account and website — such glory! such fame! — and will also be entered in a bigger contest, held four times a year, that actually comes with a prize. (What is it? As soon as we figure it out, we’ll let you know.)
For now, we’re concentrating on the weekly contests. Each Friday, we’ll present the previous seven days’ worth of ‘grams, and keep the poll open through midnight on Sunday.
To vote, you’ll need to enter your email address, which will never be sold or used nefariously — it’s just a way to keep track and avoid ballot stuffing. You’re allowed one vote per day.
