Billy Penn’s been hosting Philly Quizzo monthly for almost two years.
Our first event was in May 2018 at the PHS uCity Square Pop Up Garden (ohhh, remember beer gardens?) and since then we’ve brought the local trivia night to a dozen different bars around the city.
This edition was different. Instead of letting the pandemic stop us, we attempted our first ever virtual Philly Quizzo — and it was a success!
More than 50 households joined us to play and celebrate a stay-at-home happy hour, jointly hosted with Triple Bottom Brewing. With the exception of a few minor muting snags, and a big of a delay in scoring, things ran smoothly for the 26 teams we had on board.
When all three rounds were done, team Below Basic got third place with a score of 21. Although they started off using the wrong answer sheet, the Green Team did well too, garnering 21.5 points. And team Lawyers, Guns & Rona took the top score, with only 2 questions incorrect the entire night.
Now it’s your turn. Without using Google, can you beat their high score of 22/24?
To play, pick your the answers in the “Past,” “Present” and “Future” sections below, then click “Submit” and scroll up to “View Score” to see how you did.

Philly, beyond the cheesesteak
We love a good steak — but that only scratches the surface of what Philly has to offer. Our nonprofit newsroom looks for stories that push past clichés to find those that are underexplored. Want to keep us around?
