A tree in spring bloom next to the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia

It’s been a rough spring in Philadelphia so far — if you’re a human. The pandemic doesn’t seem to have had a detrimental effect on the city’s plantlife, though, which makes sense considering pollution is at its lowest level in years.

As the month slides away from us, let’s attempt to remember the good parts of of April 2020 in Philly.

Instagram is overflowing with wonderful photos of pink blossoms popping out all over the city. Flora that bless us with their rosy hues this time of year include magnolias, cherry trees, eastern redbuds, crab apples, gardenias and more.

Scroll through 22 examples of their beauty in this appreciation post. Thanks to all the photographers for adding brightness to our days!
