How well do you know your local history and keep up with the news? Our monthly trivia quiz tests your knowledge about Philadelphia’s past, present and future with three rounds of questions.

This edition of Philly Quizzo went down live on Zoom on Jan. 27, with more than 90 people joining us virtually. Contestants split into 24 teams and pondered the questions posed by co-hosts Danya Henninger and Sakeenah Benjamin, while listening to tunes by DJ Bounce Gawd. At stake: a $50 gift card to Biederman’s Specialty Foods, the new Jewish “appetizing” store in South Philly.

Competition was fierce. At the end, five teams ended up with more than 20 points. But there was only one winner: Team Fire Pit Pyros, whose members were nearly perfect in their responses, getting just a single question wrong.

Stay tuned for info about how to join us live for our February Philly Quizzo — it’s totally free to join the virtual happy hour game.

Until then, you can take the online quiz below. Without using Google, can you match their high score of 23/24?
