It was a glorious evening for our first in-person Philly Quizzo in a year and a half.
More than 60 people showed up for the live edition of our monthly trivia game, which had been held over Zoom during lockdown. This time around, we were outside on Liberties Walk in Northern Liberties, with players taking at seat at either El Camino Real or SET Philly.
As they snacked and sipped on happy hour specials, organizers from the BlackStar Film Festival, our cohost for the night, shared some details about their internationally renowned event. They announced the evening’s grand prize: a pair of all-access passes, valued at $250, which went to first place high scorers Team Akatsui.
Up for grabs in second place was a $25 gift card from each of the two restaurants, which was won by loyal fans the Buhs-Ins. There was t-shirt swag in store for another coveted prize — best team name, which was awarded to “Vaccines Are Made With Schuylkill Water.”
