Which would you rather do at a casino: play slots or play Quizzo? Billy Penn took our monthly trivia night to Sports & Social inside the Live Hotel & Casino, and had a surprisingly amazing time.
The bar is nestled into one side of the casino floor, but the tables and couches are separate enough from the gaming floor that our event felt like its own little party.
Cohosts Danya Henninger and Sakeenah Benjamin welcomed about four dozen players, who split into nine teams to answer questions about Philly Past, Philly Present, and Philly Future.
After three rounds, we had a close game. For best team name, “Mar-a-lago Raiders” won a $25 gift card to Sports & Social, plus a Live Casino beach chair. Team “Birthday Birds” got the second-highest tally with 14/24 questions right, and won the same. And for their top count of 15/24 correct, “Team Hoagiefest” walked away with a $50 gift card, plus the beach chair.
