Housing Authority offers help for 100 unhoused Philly veterans
The latest point-in-time survey found more than 4% of Philadelphia’s unhoused population are veterans, and advocates say the actual number is probably hire than that.

Coming back to Philly: USS New Jersey on the move
The Battleship New Jersey is leaving its Camden port for the first time in more than two decades for major repairs.
The first leg of its multi-day journey starts Thursday as tugboats will move the massive battleship to Paulsboro where it will pick up about 2,000 tons of water as ballast before being moved to the Navy Yard. The ship’s museum operators will offer dry dock tours to help offset the cost of refurbishment. Continue reading…

MAYOR WATCH
Mayor Parker will speak this morning at a playground groundbreaking at Alain Locke Elementary School. She then moves to Center City where she’ll deliver remarks at the 2024 Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia Paradigm Award Luncheon.
This evening, Parker will sign an executive order related to her “ongoing commitment to the Vision Zero campaign” which works to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries on city streets.
