More than 1,000 Philadelphians gathered outside City Hall on Thursday evening as part of the nationwide protests in the wake of a fatal shooting of a Minnesota woman by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent during an anti-immigration sweep.
Earlier in the day, city officials and local activists — including District Attorney Larry Krasner — held a press conference decrying the violence and warning ICE that similar violence would not be tolerated in Philadelphia.
