It’s warming up in Philly. Although we don’t want to jinx it, we think you deserve some spring stuff to look forward to after this winter.
Here is your guide to spring in Philly – from eating and drinking in one of the city’s outdoor gardens to attending one of the city’s neighborhood festivals. There is no shortage of things to do!
Outdoor sips & bites
Whether you’re looking for a rooftop view or scenic shrubbery to complement your drinks and food, we’ve got you covered. Here’s what’s opening soon (or already open).
Attico Rooftop Lounge
Play it safe with Philly’s temperamental weather with the indoor and outdoor seating at this cocktail and tapas bar right in Center City! This bar has everything from spritzes and martinis to steak frites and peach cobblers. Satisfy your need for a bite and a drink during their happy hour, regular dining hours or Sunday brunch party.
Attico is open from 4-11 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday. It is located on top of the Cambria Hotel at 219 S Broad St.
Bok Bar
This iconic, seasonal rooftop boasts views of the Philly skyline and lots of creative programming on top of normal hours. Stop by for a cocktail and some bites, or join one of the ticketed events, including fitness classes, musical performances, drag performances, salsa lessons and more.
Bok Bar will reopen on Thursday, April 9. It’s open on Wednesday and Thursday from 5-11 p.m., Fridays from 5 p.m. to midnight, Saturdays from 2 p.m. to midnight, and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. It is located at 800 Mifflin Street.
El Techo
Enjoy a margarita, mezcal or glass of your favorite bubbly on El Techo’s rooftop this spring season. The year-round rooftop has tacos, small plates, and cocktails – all with panoramic city views and a retractable roof. The 21+ space is the perfect spot to hang out if you’re in Center City and looking for a quick bite or drink. The rooftop is a part of the Condesa restaurant downstairs, which offers even more yummy Mexican food.
The rooftop is open Monday-Thursday from 4 to 11 p.m., Friday from 4 to 12 a.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Sunday from 11 to 4 p.m. It is located at 1830 Ludlow Street.
Sunset Social/Cira Green
This West Philly rooftop boasts a grassy escape on top of the Cira Green building. While the roof itself is open year round, its bar is opening on April 13. The bar features everything from frozen cocktails to burgers – it is the perfect way to grab a bite while exploring Philly’s views.
The joint also hosts movie nights and programming like Mother’s Day and Memorial Day celebrations. Hours vary – you can check out their website for more information.
Victory Brewing Tap Room
Victory Taproom in Philly has a rooftop above its multi-story brewery – and it’s now open for the season! There is also a lower-level patio for those looking to be closer to the street level. The bar features a rotating and permanent selection of beers, ciders and mixed drinks and offers a wide food menu.
Check them out on Monday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. It is located at 1776 Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
Assembly Rooftop Lounge
Enjoy a frozen rose, a spritz or a fondue at this rooftop lounge on top of the Logan Square Hotel. This space offers panoramic views of Philly and its monuments to end any spring day off on a good note.
The lounge is open all seven days of the week from 4 p.m. to midnight. It is located on 1840 Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
Pentridge Station
This beer garden and event space is the perfect spot to see live music, explore local food vendors, or enjoy lawn games this spring season. The kid and dog-friendly venue offers everything from local DJ parties to food trucks to spring cleanups.
This space will open on April 30. You can check their website for the updated 2026 hours.
Standard Tap
This half-patio, half-indoor tap room is focused on “great beer and wholesome food.” The Northern Liberties staple offers everything from mussels and ribs to palomas and lagers.
Check them out at 901 N 2nd Street. They are open on Monday-Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays from 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturdays from 11 a.m. to midnight, and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Liberty Point
This multi-level bar and restaurant space caters to all your taco, sandwich and flatbread needs while also offering a wide selection of drinks. The vibrant, outdoor space features views of the Ben Franklin Bridge and Delaware River waterfront, with an array of seating and standing options. There is also an event space, where the restaurant often highlights DJs and hosts live music shows.
They open on April 9th at 4 p.m., and are located at 211 S. Columbus Blvd. Their hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to midnight.
Morgans Pier
Another iconic Delaware Riverfront destination, Morgan’s Pier features a DJ, uncovered and covered bar space, tables and an upfront view of the Ben Franklin Bridge. Enjoy warm, cold or frozen cocktails, or stick to sweets, bar bites and pizza as you spend time with friends and overlook the river.
The opening date for Morgans Pier is Thursday, April 16 at 4 p.m.
Their hours are Monday-Wednesday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Thursday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Friday-Sunday from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. They are located at 221 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd.
Frankford Hall
Coined a “German biergarten for the 21st century,” this beer hall and patio space is good for the whole family. The space features games like Jenga and ping pong, an extensive outdoor space and multiple bars and food options.
They are open Monday-Thursday from 4-10 p.m., Friday from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 12-10 p.m. They are located at 1210 Frankford Avenue.
Liberty Garden
Enjoy some Philly history with a side of craft beers and spirits at Liberty Garden in Independence Mall. The outdoor space offers food favorites like chicken tenders and a Philly pretzel, and popular drinks like margaritas and orange crush.
They are open Wednesday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday. They are located at 104 N Independence Mall East.
Harpers Garden
This open-air space in Rittenhouse is the perfect mix of indoor glamour and outdoor garden. Enjoy seasonal Italian dishes like potato gnocchi and chicken parmigiano, or get drinks like their frozen espresso martini or sangria. You can even join them for a “power lunch” – with a sandwich, side & soup for just $20.
They are open Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. They are located at 31 S 18th Street.
Topside Tavern
Another Rittenhouse Square staple, the Topside Tavern offers roof and outdoor patio space to enjoy the good weather while indulging in some yummy bites. Choose from foods like pasta, salads, burgers and steak while sipping on draft beers or Manhattans.
You can visit the Topside Tavern from 4:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Mondays, or 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday-Sunday. They are located at 10 S 20th Street.
Parks on Tap
To experience your sips in rotating locations, check out the city’s “traveling beer garden” sometime from now to October. Parks on Tap lets visitors and residents sip at various parks throughout the city – everywhere from Shofuso Japanese House in Fairmount Park to Cliveden Park in Mt. Airy or Clark Park in West Philly.
Enjoy light bites and beer with the fun, family-friendly backdrop of neighborhood parks. Check out their website to find a location near you and more information.
PHS Pop Up Gardens
The PHS Pop Up Gardens combine outdoor venues with nature, drinks and food, even offering special programming like classes and live music along the way. With one location on South Street and another in Manayunk, you’re bound to enjoy the city’s nature and different neighborhoods.
The garden’s South Street location is at 1438 South Street. It’s open Monday-Wednesday from 5-10 p.m., Thursday from 5-11 p.m., Friday-Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from 12-9 p.m. Starting April 13, this location will also add lunchtime hours, opening at 12 instead of 5 on Monday-Thursday.
The garden’s Manayunk location is at 106 Jamestown Avenue. It is open Monday-Wednesday from 5-10 p.m., Thursday from 5-11 p.m., Friday-Saturday from noon to midnight, and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
Graffiti Bar
This enclosed patio is the perfect spot to feel the outdoor vibes but stay away from inclement weather and colder temps. Located right behind Sampan in Center City, this hidden gem offers light bites like bao buns and noodles, and huge cocktail “fishbowls” to get you in the spring spirit.
It is located at 124 S. 13th Street, or in the back of Sampan. It is open on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 4-10 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from 4-11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight.
Walnut Garden
This family-friendly garden in Rittenhouse is the perfect spot to relax, catch a Phillies game, bring your furry friend or have a post-work happy hour. Enjoy an alcoholic (or non-alcoholic) drink, try some American bites, or let your children explore the play area at the front of the bar.
Walnut Garden is open Wednesday-Friday from 4-10 p.m. and Sat and Sunday from 12-10 p.m.
The Garden at Jet Wine Bar
This garden on South Street allows wine aficionados to enjoy sips, colorful decor and surrounding murals and shrubbery throughout the spring. The wine bar offers year-round programming like wine tastings and wine and cheese pairings.
Its patio/outdoor space will open soon – you can keep up to date on this on their Instagram.
Many restaurants around the city have dedicated spaces for outdoor seating as well – this is just a peak at some of the unique, seasonal offerings.
Festivals
Whether you’re looking to celebrate one of Philly’s neighborhoods or a different aspect of its arts and culture, here are some upcoming spring festivals you can use!
April: Philadelphia Historic Month
Spend your April indulging in some Philly history with the city’s first-ever Philadelphia Histories Month! Enjoy new exhibits at the American Swedish Historical Museum and Arch Street Meeting House, participate in special programming at the Museum of the American Revolution and the Athenaeum of Philadelphia, or visit the African American Museum of Philadelphia’s art competition during this month-long celebration.

Various Sundays: Open Streets: West Walnut & Midtown Village
Enjoy car-less roads in select Center locations all spring long!
These unique days allow residents and visitors to dine in the streets, participate in outdoor activities, visit vendors and information tables from nearby businesses, and more.
The initiative will start on West Walnut from Broad to 19th and 18th Street from Chestnut to Locust every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until May 17.
Additional Open Streets will continue on Tuesdays from 4-9 p.m. on June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. This section will focus in Midtown Village, or 13th from Chestnut to Walnut, Sansom from Juniper to 12th and Drury Street.
Most Saturdays and Sundays beginning Saturday, April 4: Southeast Asian Market in FDR Park
Enjoy staples of Southeastern culture like food, culturally specific produce, plants, clothing and jewelry at FDR Park for the Southeast Asian Market! The market is rooted in history – starting as a small vendor market for refugees and developing into a large, community-centered and open-air space.
The iconic market is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. This year, the market will be closed on Sunday, May 3 for the Broad Street Run, and for all Eagles home games. It will also close on Sunday, June 14, Saturday, June 27 and Saturday, July 4 for 2026 FIFA World Cup games. The Market will extend its hours for 3-day weekends like Memorial Day and Labor Day, although availability of particular vendors may vary.
The last day of the Market will be Saturday, October 31.
Saturday, April 18 & Sunday, April 19: Panda Fest
This nationwide panda festival is coming to Philly – and this outdoor Asian food festival is not one you want to miss. There will be 60+ Asian food and merchant vendors, Panda inflatables, Panda arts and crafts, and more!
The festival will take place at Dilworth Park. The festival will span two days, April 18th and 19th, and will have tickets for different two-hour time periods. You can learn more and purchase your tickets here.
Sunday, April 19: Manayunk StrEAT food festival
Eat, drink, shop and dance at Manayunk’s iconic food festival on Sunday, April 19. The event lasts from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features over 100 food trucks, gourmet food options, and shopping destinations. The event is free to attend.
Thursday, April 23- Saturday, April 25: Penn Relays
The oldest and largest track and field meet in the nation is back! Head over to Franklin Field to watch three days of exciting track relay races and cheer on high school, college, Olympic and master level athletes. And, there will be merch, clothes and food available in the attached Carnival Village.
The festivities will spread over three days – Thursday, April 23 to Saturday, April 25. You can buy your tickets here.
Friday, April 24- Sunday, April 26: Germantown Jazz Festival
Enjoy three nights of music, art, and culture in Philly’s historic Germantown neighborhood from April 24 to 26! Friday will kick off with live indoor and outdoor performances by top Philadelphia jazz artists. Saturday will feature a master class/workshop, student jazz ensemble concert, and evening concert. Finally, Sunday will feature afternoon jazz performances and end with a late-night “jazz jam,” open to all musicians.
Ticket prices vary, and you can purchase for each individual day, or grab a 3-day pass!
Sunday, April 26: Flavors on the Avenue East Passyunk
Head over to East Passayunk for a massive food & culture festival on Sunday, April 26 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The party will feature 150+ vendors and lots of drinks, food and live music. You can find everything from home decor and clothing to art and accessories at various maker and vendor stands! Learn more here.
Saturday, May 2: Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival
Rittenhouse Square will welcome more than 50,000 people at its annual Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival on Saturday, May 2. The festival, which features flowers, food, antiques and art, allows attendees to stroll around Rittenhouse Square Park and pay as they wish.
The festival will be live from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, May 2.
Saturday, May 2: Maifest Spring Festival at Brauhaus Schmitz
Raise a pint for the South Street German beer hall Brauhaus Schmitz’s lively street festival on Saturday, May 2. The festival, which is a play on the traditional German festival celebrating the arrival of May, will feature dancing, music, food and drink!
The event is pay-as-you-go, although VIP tickets with private indoor restrooms, VIP buffet and beer tokens are on sale now.
The festival will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and it will take over the 700 block of South Street outside of the restaurant.
Sunday, May 3: Broad Street Run
The Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run is one of Philly’s most iconic races. The 10-miler starts at Central High School Athletic Field in North Philly, and continues down Broad Street to Navy Yard. You can spectate along Broad Street, or sign up to volunteer! Learn more here.
May 11-17: PGA Championship
The PGA Championship will welcome some of the world’s best golfers to Newtown Square’s Aronomink Golf Club in Delco! This is one of four prestigious major tournaments each year, and you are invited to watch.
The tournament takes place from Thursday, May 14 to Sunday, May 17. You can buy tickets for these dates and the practice rounds (Monday, May 11- Wednesday, May 13) here.
Saturday, May 16 & Sunday, May 17: Italian Market Festival
One of Philly’s most iconic events, the Italian Market Festival has everything from greased pole climbing competitions to jewelry, beer and Italian food. The festival spans five blocks around South 9th Street, and is welcoming for the whole family.
The festival takes place Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is pay-as-you-go.
Sunday, May 17: The Philly Jewish Music Festival
Head on over to South Philly on Sunday, May 17 to enjoy a day-long festival of Jewish artists and family-friendly fun! The festival will feature multiple stages with local, regional and national Jewish performers, children’s programming and an evening performance by “a well-known headline performer.”

Friday, May 29 – Sunday, June 7: Pride Month kickoff

Farmers Markets
We’re recapping some of our farmers’ market guide from last year – giving you a few places to shop for your fresh produce and goods this year!
Northern Liberties Farmers Market
NoLibs is kicking off its annual farmers market with an In Bloom Market celebration on Saturday, April 18! The event, which will take place in the Piazza Alta Courtyard and runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will have various yoga and pilates classes, salsa lessons, family-friendly activities, food, drink and more.
Head over to their kickoff or join them any Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Piazza Alta Courtyard to experience the vibes!
Rittenhouse Farmers Market
If you find yourself near Center City, come check out the Rittenhouse Farmers Market on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.! The market features everything from lively flowers and crafts to local produce and food! While this farmers’ market is year-round, you can walk around the market these days without freezing!
You can find them on 1800 Walnut Street.
Headhouse Farmers Market
This year-round market in Society Hill has it all – from bread and soup to beer, wine, and coffee! It operates on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and you can find the rotating list of vendors who will be there each week on their website.
It is located at 2nd Street & Lombard Street.
Fitler Square Farmers Market
Seasonal produce, grass-fed meat, eggs and dairy products are just a few of the goods you can find at the weekly Fitler Square Farmers Market. The market runs each Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
It is located at 23rd & Pine.
Dickinson Square Farmers Market
Live music, seasonal celebrations, coffee, artisanal goods and fresh produce are just a few of the things you’ll find at this South Philly farmers market! Designed to provide a “welcoming and lively atmosphere for all,” this space offers a spot for all to connect and be together.
Check them out on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dickinson Square Park in South Philly!
East Falls Farmers Market
Mingle with and explore artisans, musicians, farmers and community organizations at East Falls’ Farmers Market every Saturday morning this spring. The market has a list of regular and rotating vendors that changes each season.
It is every Saturday, rain or shine, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4100 Ridge Ave under the Twin Bridges.
Fairmount Farmers Market
You can find everything from honey and cheese to wine and spirits to eggs and baked goods at Fairmount’s late afternoon farmers market!
The year-round market is on 22nd & Fairmount and is on Thursdays from 3-7 p.m.

Other Activities
Phillies Games
The Phillies are back to bat, with high expectations for the season. You can still enjoy the ambiance many weeks this spring at Citizens Bank Park. Catch them at upcoming games against the Cubs, Braves, Giants, Athletics or Rockies and participate in various themed nights throughout the spring and summer.

Philadelphia Zoo
Hang out with giraffes, bears, birds and everything else the West Philly zoo has to offer anytime this spring or summer! Perfect for family fun, date night or fun with friends, the zoo is constantly offering special programming, including wine festivals, a beer festival and Mother’s Day events.
The Zoo is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last entry at 4 p.m. General admission prices vary and you can buy tickets here.
Social sports
Whether you’re looking to try one of the city’s outdoor and indoor pickleball facilities or social leagues to meet (or spend time with) friends, there are a lot of options for you this summer.
You can join a Heyday spring or summer sports league and play everything from kickball and softball to soccer and skeeball in the greater Philadelphia or Delaware area. Or, join a skeeball or cornhole league at one of Philly’s bars through Volo.
And, the fun doesn’t stop there. There are other adult social sports leagues in the region as well – including Manayunk Sport and Social and Philly Kickball League.
Hidden River Outfitters tours of the Schuylkill River
Chose from various tour options of The Schuylkill River this spring and summer and get out into nature! Options range from basic tours – guiding participants from the Walnut Street Dock and the Fairmount Water Works, to sunset & moonlight tours, which allow you to see the same sights at various times of day.

Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink at Dilworth Park
Beginning April 25, you can skate right outside of City Hall on a bright, checkerboard floor surrounded by the ambiance of history and nature. The roller rink will have a snack bar outside of it, which will feature snacks like cheesesteak egg rolls and churros and adult beverages like cocktails to indulge in.
Tickets for adults are $10 and children are $8. Skate rentals are an additional $6.
The rink will be open April 25-June 29, with Monday-Thursday hours from 2:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., Friday hours from 2:45 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday hours from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday hours from 11 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.
Spruce Street Harbor Park
Lay out on hammocks, enjoy live music, buy local merchandise or see a movie screening at the Delaware River Waterfront’s Spruce Street Harbor Park this summer. The floating gardens, colorful hammocks, and rotating food offerings are the perfect spot to start your spring and summer.

Outdoor art museums
Several art museums in the Philly area offer outdoor collections. The Outdoor Gardens at the Rodin Museum features several outdoor sculptures. Calder Gardens offers an expansive outdoor space near the Art Museum. The Magic Gardens in South Philly features an outdoor portion in addition to its indoor galleries. The President’s House is an open-air exhibit next to the Liberty Bell Center where visitors can explore where President Washington and Adams lived during their terms.
