Meet the Philly-area candidates running for Congress

Now that the map's been redrawn, there's more confusion than ever about who'll represent whom in D.C. This forum hosted by the Philly Neighborhood Small Business Council, the Committee of Seventy and Councilman David Oh will allow the candidates for Distrits 2, 3 and 5 to introduce themselves. Registration requested but not required.

‘Eat up the Borders’ at a Jordanian cooking sesh

Eat Up the Borders is a program founded by two immigrants to help immigrant-owned businesses in Philadelphia showcase their native food, culture and language. At this midday meal and class, the owners of Almodak — "a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant with Jordanian spices" — will teach some Arabic words and share recipes of various dishes. BYOB and prepare to get your hands dirty.
