Bartending is not an easy gig. To do it well, you have to be part therapist, part best friend, part scholar and part enabler. But some people seem like they’re made for the job, easily swinging between server and confidant while tapping into knowledge about hundreds of beers and thousands of spirit combinations. Know a young pro who’s killing it in the field — literally “raising the bar”? We’re looking to highlight the best up-and-coming people helping keep Philadelphia from going thirsty, and we need your help.

The intent of Billy Penn’s “Who’s Next” series, presented by the Knight Foundation, is to introduce readers to the most dedicated young people working to shape our city every day. Our goal is to identify and track the next generation of leaders and influencers across a broad spectrum of fields.

We’ve been showing off some of Philly’s most dynamic under-40 leaders for more than two years now. Check out each of our monthly Who’s Next lists here, which feature people in disciplines ranging from artists to lawyers to teachers to chefs. Now we’re looking to feature the folks elevating the city’s booze game from behind the stick.

To nominate someone to be featured on Billy Penn‘s Who’s Next: Bartenders list, fill out the form below — or send an email to tips@billypenn.com with “Who’s Next: Bartenders” in the subject line. Please submit nominations on or before Jan. 24.
