Danya Henninger here. As acting editor of Billy Penn, I’m extremely excited (shivers, giggles, wiggling-toes excited) to bring you some news about our organization: We’re embarking on a project that’ll make it even better — and you can help us do it.
I’ve been freelancing for BP since the start. Back when it launched in fall 2014, I was an immediate fan. The snarky Twitter account. The useful morning newsletter. The stories with a mix of serious and lighthearted news about Philly.
Now I’m honored to be leading the newsroom — and asking you to come aboard.
Philly passion fuels our reporting, but doesn’t pay for it. Earlier this year, we faced challenges that come with building a sustainable local news organization. We charted a plan to make Billy Penn stronger than ever.
And I’m hoping you’ll help us make it happen.
